Tony’s Chocolonely partnered with Dok Online to grow non-branded organic visibility for seasonal ranges (Christmas + Sinterklaas) and build a scalable Shopify SEO system across the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Germany (with some US spillover). We improved discoverability for seasonal collectionsstrengthened product-level relevance, and upgraded technical foundations so campaigns launch faster and perform more consistently year after year. Every piece of content and strategy was further strengthened by generative engine optimization (GEO) principles to improve visibility in the AI era.

Our approach

We built a repeatable Shopify SEO system and executed it across markets, grounded in topical authority, semantic SEO and technical best practices.

We mapped the festive search universe and built focused collection pages for the highest-intent queries (Christmas chocolate, advent calendars, chocolate letters, Christmas gifts, corporate gifting). Each page kept Tony’s product reality front and center: chocolate bars and personalized giftable formats.

We created reusable Shopify templates so seasonal and personalized content could be published consistently. Then, we optimized the seasonal SKUs inside those collections (metadata, copy blocks, internal links, UX cues) to strengthen relevance and improve conversion readiness.

We cleaned up structural issues that limit crawlability and consistency across markets (including URL and template hygiene). We also set up internal review processes for localization, on-page standards, internal linking and content QA, so future campaigns ship faster, cleaner, and with less rework.
